Bad night for the Mavericks. Not only was Jason Kidd’s troop largely dominated by Steve Kerr’s, but Dallas lost Tim Hardaway Jr. for several weeks.
On a simple reception, the Texan rear / winger fractured the fifth metatarsus of his left foot, the club announced. For the moment, the franchise has not revealed the duration of his absence but it is always in weeks, the average in the NBA being 10 to 11 weeks, although it all depends on the exact location of the fracture.
Extended for $72 million over four years in Texas last summer, Tim Hardaway Jr. isn’t having a great season as his scoring average dropped from 16.6 to 14.3 points, with skill percentages down big (from 45% to 39% overall and from 39% to 34% at 3-point).
Nevertheless, he remains the team’s fourth scorer, behind Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis and Jalen Brunson.
