Solid entry on both sides of the field, the Bucks start strong with an 8-0. A bad start that the Knicks will quickly rectify in particular thanks to Jalen Brunson and Evan Fournier (2/3 to 3-points).
But thanks to a sparkling Bobby Portis (8 points and 5 rebounds), Milwaukee ended the first quarter with a short header (26-24) on a buzzer from the latter.
With a rather awkward starting five, New York can count on its bench (10/19 in shooting) to put baskets. The Bucks can count on their star Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek, author of 18 points in 18 minutes allows his people to be in front at the break (59-53).
Upon returning from the locker room, the Knicks are completely overwhelmed. Evan Fournier’s teammates multiply the loss of balls and make all the wrong choices offensively. Milwaukee will take advantage of this by inflicting a spectacular 18-0 “run” under the impulse of Jrue Holiday who finally wakes up. New York will not recover from it, victory of the Bucks 119-108 which chain a fourth consecutive success, to remain the only undefeated team this season.
WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER
Two clumsy teams. This game was marked by a very low shooting percentage on both sides: 38.5% for Milwaukee, 39.8% for New York.
18-0. During the third quarter, the Bucks went 18-0 in 3 minutes that sealed the game.
TOPS/FLOPS
✅ Giannis Antetokounmpo. Excellent once again, he was involved in all the highlights of the Bucks: 30 points, 14 rebounds, 9 assists and above all the best +/- of the game with +27.
✅ Grayson Allen. Clean and efficient, he was one of the few skilful players of the match: 17 points at 6/10 in shooting including a nice 4/6 from 3 points.
✅ Bobby Portis. Always in the battle on both sides of the floor, he brought a lot off the bench: 12 points and 12 rebounds in 25 minutes.
⛔️ Julius Randle. Despite his double-double (14 points, 12 rebounds), he was far too clumsy with a 3/10 in shooting.
⛔️ Mitchell Robinson. Very little in sight, he did not weigh at all in the game of the Knicks.
