Former Bucks assistant Josh Oppenheimer returns to NCAA

Iconic Bucks assistant, Josh Oppenheimer is preparing to definitively turn the page after being released by Milwaukee last May. The assistant had accompanied the development of Giannis Antetokounmpo upon his arrival in the NBA in 2013-2014 under Larry Drew. He then continued his mission with Jason Kidd from 2014 to 2016, and returned four years later to join Mike Budenholzer's staff, with whom he won the NBA championship title in 2021.

In the staff of Greece in 2022

All these years, Josh Oppenheimer had maintained a close relationship with the “Greek Freak” going so far as to join the staff of the Greek selection for EuroBasket 2022. The dismissal of Mike Budenholzer, then the successive passages of Adrian Griffin and Doc Rivers last season undoubtedly contributed to his departure.

Adrian Wojnarowski revealed his future destination, and it will be the NCAA, to the Oklahoma Sooners. Josh Oppenheimer will therefore join Porter Moser's staff, where an important role awaits him in player development and the development of the offensive strategy.
