Former bartender, Alex Reese settles into the Thunder racket

Isaiah Hartenstein absent five to six weeks, the Thunder decided tooffer a contract to Alex Reese, a 25-year-old versatile interior designer, little known to the general public. This is a non-guaranteed contract, even though this same Reese was cut this week. A twist that he is used to since this former Alabama player had completely put his career on hold at the end of his university studies.

It's 2021 and his 5 points and 3 rebounds average in his senior year prevent him from imagining a future in professional basketball. Mentally affected by the failure of his NCAA career, Alex Reese decides to give up everything to become a bartender! To make ends meet, he also helps out as a mover. Good news, he misses basketball!

He resumes his career in Luxembourg

Like Alfonzo McKinnie, the former Warriors winger, Reese is resuming his career in… Luxembourg. Under the colors of the reigning champion, Amicale Steinsel, Reese averages 23 points and 12.7 rebounds. Stats he displayed in high school, when he was one of the best players in Alabama.

Convinced that he has lost none of his qualities, he returns to the United States to earn his place in the G-League. Tested by the Vipers, he finally joined the Rip City Remix where he played 43 matches. His stats? 11.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in 17 minutes. All with a very correct 41% at 3-points.

The Thunder invite him to their camp, and after averaging 2.3 points, 2 rebounds in preseason, here he is in the squad to start the season.
