THE Clippers will move in next yearIntuit Dome of Inglewood, with a particularity: the room will not be symmetrical, a “kop” of supporters being behind one of the two baskets.
This “wall”, aptly called “The Wall” by the franchisewants to be particularly noisy and fiery.
“There are several things that are truly unique from an architectural point of view” explained Gillian Zucker, the president of the franchise. “First of all, at one end of the hall there is a wall of spectators that is 51 rows high. The stand is therefore completely uninterrupted. There are no consequences that divide it. That's why we think it's going to give us a huge advantage at home. (…) It’s 4,700 seats, and when you think about it, that covers a large area. There will be a standing fans section in the center, which will be a few hundred people, and then all around it will be a very intense stand for people who really love basketball and who came to cheer with a lot of energy. »
Without boxes to “cut off” the stand, it should therefore resemble a real wall of supporters, with standing places. “This is where people who want to channel their inner Steve Ballmer will come and sit” Gillian Zucker had fun, referring to the fiery owner of the Californian franchise.
This “wall” will still have a strict “code”, to guarantee that only true Clippers fans will access it:
– Prohibition to encourage the other team or to wear the opponent's jersey, cap or other
– Only “certified” fans will be able to purchase tickets in this section, resale being prohibited outside the system managed by the Clippers, in order to verify that the purchase is made by “certified” fans
– Possibility of giving your ticket to another fan, not “certified”, provided that the latter respects the “code” in place. Failing this, the certification of the original holder will be revoked…
