While everyone is scrutinizing the debut of Cooper Flagg, Duke has already ensured the continuation with the commitment of the twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer, who are among the best players of their generation.
The two brothers are following in the footsteps of their father, Carlos Boozer, who trained at Duke, before becoming a very good power forward in the NBA with two All-Star selections. The Boozer brothers chose Duke over Miami and Florida.
Cameron Boozer collects MVP trophies
“I’m proud of them. They worked hard to get there. They took the time to decide and chose to play together in college, which is incredible.” reacted Carlos Boozer.
It will be recalled that Cameron (2m06) is ranked number 2 in the ESPN Top 100 best high school students. He is soaring on the EYBL circuit, and he has also won two gold medals with the United States national team and been named MVP of several international competitions. In 2023, he finished MVP of the U16 Americas Championship with 16.8 points and 9.8 rebounds on average. This summer, he did it again at the U17 World Cup with 20.1 points and 9.9 rebounds per game, including 24 points and 13 rebounds in the final against Italy.
A little less strong, Cayden (1m96) plays as a playmaker, and he appears in 17th place in the ESPN Top 100. Best passer on the Nike EYBL circuit in 2023, he also won two gold medals with Team USA.
