Finally in good health, Kendall Brown makes her way to Indiana

With only 40 minutes spent on the court for her first year, during the 2022/2023 financial year, Kendall Brown almost had a white season. The winger was indeed totally weighed down by injuries.

After six matches played in late November and early December 2022, Kendall Brown suffered a broken leg. He joined the infirmary for six weeks, before returning to the G-League for three small matches. Then, a new right tibia injury forced him to have surgery and end his season.

“It was extremely disappointing, especially at such a young age”he explains at the Indy Star. “You really don’t want to go through such injuries when you’re a rookie. The biggest challenge was not finishing the season. Missing opportunities hurts. »

The player will finally be able to find the floors this summer in the Summer League. A relief because “we tend to forget how we feel when we are healthy”slips Kendall Brown. “It’s a great feeling and I missed it a bit. »

It is also an important moment for him and for his career already. Last season, the former Baylor, drafted in the second round, had signed a “two-way contract” with the Pacers and he now finds himself free this summer, but protected, by the Indiana franchise.

His performances during the summer league will therefore have a direct influence on his future. In the best case, if he has returned physically, the 20-year-old player could obviously hope for a new “two-way contract” with the Pacers. To finally hope to launch his career in the Great League.
