Final Four | UConn will attempt the double against Purdue

Again for Connecticut. As in 2023, UConn reaches the NCAA final after its victory against Alabama. Everything was decided in the second half, since with less than thirteen minutes remaining, the two teams were tied.

Then the Huskies went on a 30-16 run to win 86-72, with 21 points from Stephon Castle and 18 from Donovan Clingan.

Champion last season, the University of Connecticut will try to become the first to do the double since the Florida Gators in 2006/07 with Joakim Noah and Al Horford. It will be Monday evening.

To achieve this feat, we will have to rule out Purdue. Favorite in this semi-final against North Carolina State (63-50), Zach Edey and his teammates made the difference with 3-point shots. The 10/25 behind the arc (40%) really hurt Mohamed Diarra (2 points and 5 rebounds) and his gang. This address also compensated for the Boilermakers' 16 lost balls.

Especially since Zach Edey, the best player in the country, also had his game with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while DJ Burns Jr. was well targeted and blocked, finishing with only 8 points at 4/10 on the shoot.
