Faced with injuries, the Mavericks will look for a pivot

Among the many players stuck in the Dallas infirmary, there are Derek Lively II, Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell, and the leaders of the Mavericks have decided to support Daniel Gafford, by recruiting an interior in “two-way contract”.

It is about Kyle Kelley (2m13, 26 years old), and to make room for him, the leaders were forced to part ways with leader Jazian Gortman.

Teammate of Bronny James at the South Bay Lakers, he played nine games in the G-league, including seven as a starter for stats of 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game. During the Tip-off Tournament, he put himself further forward with 12.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game.

Last season, Kylor Kelley played with the Maine Celtics, and he earned an All-Defensive Team selection for his 2.9 blocks average.

Two-way contract : Designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of two or three additional players, to develop them mainly in their affiliated development league franchise but also up to 50 matches in the NBA.
