Expelled, Steve Nash piques a very big anger

After Klay Thompson the day before, it’s the turn of Steve Nash to suffer the first expulsion of his career as a coach. Unlike the back of the Warriors, the Nets coach did not “trash talk”, but he got carried away against an arbitration decision. It’s even more than winning since the former leader of the Suns was downright mad with rage!

“I was just defending my guys” he explained at a press conference. “I felt that Patty (Mills) had taken a headline from Giannis, right in front of the referee. I felt that was wrong. I don’t think I was too demonstrative, but I was pissed that I took a technique. »

What annoys Nash even more is to remain unanswered. “I have no explanation! A lot of things happened, and it happened what happened… I said what I had to say, and that’s it. »

“We saw him play for 20 years, and I saw him say shit to the referees”

In the end, and despite the defeat, this reaction amuses Kevin Durant.

“We saw him play for 20 years, and I saw him say shit to the referees” laughs Durant. “I was on the pitch with him when he was talking crazy to the referees. In my early years in the NBA, Steve used to talk like crazy to referees. As he had no technique as a trainer, I wondered what was going on… Because he is fiery. But you have to behave differently when you’re a coach… But sometimes you just want to go out there and fight for your guys, and I think that’s what he did tonight.”

In 18 years of playing career, and 1,337 matches, Nash had only been expelled twice.
