Evan Mobley extended to the maximum by the Cavaliers?

Three years after his arrival in the NBA, and one year before the end of his rookie contract, Evan Mobley will be eligible for an extension this summer, between July and October. According to Marc Steinhe should get it since there is talk of a re-signing for the maximum at Cleveland.

At the end of a complicated year, collectively but especially individually, the soon-to-be 23-year-old could be offered more than $200 million over four years from the Riders. This is a lot for a player who certainly impresses in defense, but who is still struggling to develop as imagined in attack.

However, as Evan Mobley is supposed to represent the future of the Cavs, it seems difficult to imagine his team not doing everything to keep him alongside Darius Garland. Even more so with the vagueness that remains around the future of Donovan Mitchell (and/or Darius Garland) as well as Jarrett Allen.

Jarrett Allen pushed towards the exit?

Speaking precisely of Jarrett Allen, insider Marc Stein also reports that his future in Ohio could be dotted. Especially if Evan Mobley, his partner in the racket, and Donovan Mitchell are retained by the Cavaliers. What the latest rumors suggest.

Highly appreciated by several leaders in the league, the 26-year-old pivot could in any case be pushed towards the exit by his team, who would not incidentally have not appreciated the way he handled his rib injury in the playoffs, refusing an injection to be able to play directly again.

A year ago, the Pelicans targeted Jarrett Allen and, with Brandon Ingram announced to be leaving, the two teams could, for example, agree on a transfer of the interior and the winger. To be continued…
