Evan Fournier will join Olympiakos for three years!

“If one day I had to go back to Europe and I had the choice to go where I wanted, I think I would go to Olympiakos. It's still a great club.” This is what he had written Evan Fournier In May 2022, at the time of the Final Four, and two years later, the Olympic vice-champion's wish will come true.

While the horizon seems blocked in the NBA, the Frenchman will return to Europe, and even to the Euroleague, since Eurohoops announces that he has agreed to a three-season deal, and that there are just a few details to sort out regarding the paperwork. Our colleagues do not know if it is a 2+1 contract, and if there are clauses for returning to the NBA.

An XXL workforce

Last week, we learned that the Frenchman had contacts, even offers, from Italian, Spanish and French clubs. We can therefore add Olympiakos, one of the big guns in European basketball, who found Sasha Vezenkov this summer. In June, there was talk of a three-year, $8.4 million contract… Maybe that's the basis of the agreement reached this Monday.
