Evan Fournier is still under contract with the Knicks for next season, up to $18.9 million, and he even has an $19 million “team option” on his contract, for the 2024/25 season. But given the turn of his season, the Frenchman knows that New York will try to exchange him this summer.
“You know very well that I will not stay”, he blurted out. “There’s no way they’ll keep me. I would be very surprised if they did. We will see. It is obviously not in my hands”.
Yet a holder at the start of the campaign, Evan Fournier very quickly joined the bench, before completely disappearing from Tom Thibodeau’s rotation, except for a few rare appearances to compensate for injuries.
