On the sidelines of the World Cup, and a year before the Olympic Games, FIBA carried out the draw for the eliminatory groups for Eurobasket 2025 which will take place in Latvia, Cyprus, Finland and Poland. Seeded, France was not particularly spoiled since it fell in group E with Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Cyprus. The French team will have to finish in one of the first two places since Cyprus, as the host country, is already qualified for the final phase.
In the groups without an organizing country, it is the first three of each group which are qualified for a total of 24 qualified nations out of 32. Spain in group C, or Italy and Germany have not been spoiled either.
Group A : Slovenia, Ukraine, Israel, Portugal
Band B : Italy, Türkiye, Hungary, Iceland
Group C : Spain, Latvia, Belgium, Slovakia
Group D : Germany, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Sweden
Group E : France, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus
Group F : Greece, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Great Britain
