ESPN cancels two Grizzlies games on national television

The Grizzlies are having a difficult season which has repercussions even off the field. ESPN has just canceled two Memphis matches which were to be broadcast on the national network, February 28 against the Timberwolves and March 8 against the Hawks.

This is already the second time this season that the Grizzlies have been canceled by ESPN because of poor results from Memphis, largely due to the numerous injuries that will have punctuated this 2023/24 exercise. This is obviously penalizing for the franchise in terms of visibility, and it will therefore benefit other teams.

The Pacers, Cavaliers and Wolves benefit

We will thus find the Pacers on ESPN on February 28 at home against the Pelicans of the McCollum-Ingram-Williamson trio. This will be Indiana's third appearance on the national network this season (with Boston on January 30, and the NBA Cup final against the Lakers). A great reward for Tyrese Haliburton who has regularly campaigned to be more recognized on this point. Remember that American television had only planned to broadcast one Pacers game this season…

As for March 8, ESPN has chosen the clash between Cleveland and Minnesota, two teams at the top of the table. Grizzlies matches will be broadcast on the local Bally Sports Southeast network.
