At 35 years old, Eric Gordon will discover a new club next season, after the Clippers, the Hornets/Pelicans, the Rockets and the Suns. And for the first time, it will be in the Eastern Conference!
Because after giving up on his $3.4 million “player option” with Phoenix in recent days, The Athletic announces that the veteran shooter will now join Joel Embiid’s Sixers.
It will surely be via a one-year contract, Eric Gordon finding Daryl Morey in Pennsylvania, his former GM in Houston, in order to bring his experience and his shooting quality behind the Maxey/Embiid duo.
It remains to be seen who will accompany him, as Andre Drummond returns to Philadelphia, but The Athletic reports that Nicolas Batum will not be returning to the Sixers.
