End of Summer League for Jaden Hardy, hit in the shoulder

First offensive weapon of Jared Dudley’s device and therefore Dallas’ top scorer in the first three Summer League games with 23 points on average, jade hardy was forfeited for the remainder of the Summer League. The reason ? A lingering left shoulder injury that plagued the fullback in his last outing against the Warriors on Wednesday, which may partly explain his 6/19 shooting and 8/15 free throw.

Even if the injury does not seem serious, Dallas preferred to take the blow by taking him out of the team until the end of the Summer League rather than risk damaging his sophomore’s shoulder. It must be said that Jaden Hardy had used it a lot, shooting a lot for a very average success: 35% of overall address including 24% at 3-points…

For Jared Dudley, his contribution was still positive, even in the last game won 98-96 against Golden State, insofar as these meetings prepared him for what awaits him next season.

“It’s very important to him”, slipped the Mavericks Summer League coach. “He doesn’t shoot well, but we win games. There’s a lot going on for him: we’re having him defend against some of the best players. On the offensive level, it is the best opposing player who watches him. They’re on him, they know his game. Sometimes he rushes, but that’s fine with us. He compiled a 6/19 in a win, we’ve seen every type of player do that at some point.”

Jaden Hardy was precisely in the Summer League to be the first offensive option for the Texas team.
