End of series for the Hawks against the Clippers

After their four victories in a row, the Hawks came back down to Earth against Nicolas Batum (11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists) and the Clippers (121-98 defeat). Less dependent on the success of Trae Young than on their last games, the Hawks manage to better share the brand and wonderfully exploit the few offensive rebounds chips here and that.

If Bogdan Bogdanovic lights the wick from afar for his reunion with the audience of Atlanta, it is the Hawks who dictate the tempo. They take a first lead (+9, 59-50), at the end of the first half, with in particular a 14-2 in the middle of the 2nd quarter.

As strong on its drives in the face of Ivica Zubac, which Zaccharie Risacher is right, plays just and is already 13 points at 5/5 on shots and 3 rebounds in 19 minutes, at the break (61-53).

An air hole in the 3rd quarter for the Hawks

While Trae Young and Dyson Daniels are still out of address, the Hawks undergo a 14-0 in four minutes, straddling the 2nd and 3rd quarter. The Clippers go ahead of a award for Kawhi Leonard (64-61) and capitalize on their advance. Zaccharie risacher on the bench, the attack continues to skate and the Hawks are starting to be distant as Californian shooters set off. “We lost the match in this quarter”confirms Quin Snyder who talks about ” storm “ To summarize this 35-8 suffered in the 3rd act.

With 19 lengths behind before starting the last twelve minutes (69-88), the Hawks know the complicated mission. They have open shots-especially 3-point-but do not manage to find the sights, when James Harden (25 points) and his band continue to feed the brand. In the end, a logical stop with a defeat of 23 points (121-98).

The men of Quin Snyder (7th to the east, 32 victories – 35 defeats) will try to correct the shot on Sunday at the Nets, while the Clippers (8th to the west, 37 victories – 30 defeats) will face Moussa Diabaté and the Hornets, the same evening.

What to remember

– Trae Young is lacking in success. In addition to a dyson Daniels in difficulty in shots (2/12 for 6 points), the leader of the Hawks was in one evening without, with a small 6/18 for 17 points. But he insisted all evening, phagocyating the Georgian attack and registering a few Points in the “Garbage Time” to inflate its total points.

– Zaccharie Risacher efficient but little used. When most of his teammates had trouble offensively, the French Hawks rookie signed a perfect first half at the shots with 13 points. However, he spent a major part of the 3rd quarter on the bench, when the Hawks took the water. His interceptions and rebounds at the start of the last period gave a little time and pep to the Atlanta attack, but his shooters were too clumsy to hope for another result. He ended the meeting with 15 points at 6/10 on shots, 7 rebounds, 1 passes, 2 interceptions and 3 bullets lost in 36 minutes, one of his playing times the substants of the season.

– James Harden becomes the 12th best scorer in history. With its 25 points against the Hawks, the most bearded of NBA players now displays 27,314 points on the clock. He exceeds Elvin Hayes and his 27,313 points but remains behind Moses Malone (27,409).
