Dwight Howard will draw in a tournament in Dubai…

After multiple appeals to franchises, and even a trial with the Warriors, Dwight Howard understood that the door to the NBA had undoubtedly closed forever. As a result, after Taiwan in 2023, he decided to continue his career in the United Arab Emirates. Or rather within a Filipino selection. Explanations.

According to The Athletic, the former Magic and Lakers pivot has agreed to freelance during the Dubai International Basketball Championship, a tournament of which this will be the 33rd edition. This friendly tournament brings together some of the best teams from the Middle East and Asia, and Howard will be integrated into the Strong Group.

It is not a club, but a heterogeneous selection which will represent the Philippines with stars of the championship, but also a few Americans looking for a small check. Last season, there were Nick Young, Renaldo Balkman and Shabazz Muhammad…

The competition takes place from January 19 to 28 in Dubai, and it is therefore a simple exercise to keep in shape.
