Draymond Green very fan of the “problem” Jalen Williams

Even if he was clumsy against the Wolves (20 points at 6/18 shooting), Jalen Williams reached a big milestone this season for the Thunder. However, this is only his second NBA campaign…

In December, Draymond Green was already singing the praises of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's first lieutenant.

“They have a great leader in Shai” had thus released the strong winger of the Warriors at a press conference. “He was All-NBA First Team last season for a reason. Chet (Holmgren) may be a generational talent so we have to add him to the team. And Jalen Williams is one of the most impressive players in the NBA with the ball. He can shoot 3-pointers, mid-range and go to the rim. He measures 2m03 (in reality 1m96 but with a wingspan of 2m18…), he has the size, the strength, he can pass. They cause problems.”

Since these compliments, the former Santa Clara player seems to have progressed further, as he averages 18.8 points at 55% success including 46% at 3-points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists on average this season.

And Draymond Green has not changed his mind about him, quite the contrary.

“He’s special” thus repeated the four-time champion on his podcast regarding the 12th choice of the 2022 Draft. “This guy can shoot, he can pass, he can dribble, he can finish at the rim. He can defend. He has the size, he can defend in several positions. He is athletic. He is excellent on the pick-and-roll. »

How far can Jalen Williams go? His Golden State counterpart is wondering just that.

“Jalen Williams is special. Will he be an All-Star in two years or sooner? I bet on it first. He's a problem. »
