Draft 2024 | Two more French people tested in Portland

Last week, Melvin Ajinça was in Portland to show off before the Draft. The Frenchman, announced in the second round, is not the only French player to perform a workout in front of Blazers recruiters.

This Tuesday, the franchise conducted its fourth pre-Draft session and two French people were in uniform: Noah Penda And Armel Traore. An opportunity for the duo to increase their odds because neither is announced in the latest Mock Draft from ESPN.

Nolan Traoré's big brother

19-year-old winger, Noah Penda signed with Le Mans, after two seasons at Vichy in Pro B. It is in Pro A, in Sarthe, that he will continue his career if the path to the NBA is blocked. As for the second, big brother of prodigy Nolan Traoré, he is 21 years old and is coming off a season averaging 10.8 points and 7.2 rebounds in Blois.

The two were notably accompanied by Dillon Jones, the guard/wing from Weber State who has recently been compared to Josh Hart and remains expected at the end of the first round or at the beginning of the second. The latter has the particularity of having graduated from the same university as Damian Lillard.

As a reminder, the Portland franchise has the 7th and 14th picks in the first round, as well as the 40th in the second round.
