Draft 2024 | ESPN places Alexandre Sarr and Zaccharie Risacher in the first two places

The “lottery” has delivered its verdict with the first choice of the 2024 Draft for the Hawks, and the “mock drafts” will finally make sense. HAS ESPN, a reference of the genre, we therefore propose its “mock draft 1.0”, and a month and a half before the Draft, our colleagues place two French people in the first two places. This is obviouslyAlexandre Sarr and of Zacharie Risacher.

Versatile in positions 4 and 5, the first would head to Atlanta to play alongside Clint Capela and Trae Young, while the second would join Bilal Coulibaly at the Wizards. After Victor Wembanyama in 2023, France could achieve the feat of placing a player in first place again.

Zach Edey's rating at its highest

Behind the two new nuggets of French basketball, ESPN is banking on two players from Kentucky. The shooter Reed Sheppard could interest the Rockets, even if Houston seems ready to trade its 3rd pick, while the Spurs could be seduced by Rob Dillingham since the team has big needs at the point guard position. Like the Rockets, San Antonio could trade this 4th choice to recover a very good leader. The Spurs even have picks 4 and 8 to move up in the Draft, or make a big transfer.

For the rest, we note that ESPN thinks that Zach Edey greatly increased its rating during the Final Four, and the Canadian giant appears in 15th place on the Heat side. Just behind Tidjane Salaünwho could join the Blazers, who got the 14th pick from the Warriors.

Two other French people appear in this “mock draft”. It is Pacome Dadietas the 41st pick of the Sixers, and Melvin Ajincain 43rd place, held by the Heat.
