Doris Burke and Doc Rivers would be the new star duo of ESPN and ABC!

According to New York Post, ESPN is preparing to announce major changes to its antenna since instead of Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy, Doris Burke and Doc Rivers would be on the microphone alongside the irremovable Mike Breen. After parting ways with Van Gundy, the channel reportedly decided to demote Mark Jackson, and that’s Doris Burke who inherits his position. It is she who will commentate the NBA Finals on ABC and it will be a first for a woman. As for Doc Riverscut by the Sixers, so he takes the place of Van Gundy.

According to the New York daily, the contracts have not yet been finalized but it is on the right track. Jackson’s fate remains uncertain, since the ball is in his court. Will he agree to be part of the second duo of the chain, alongside Mark Jones? We wouldn’t be surprised if he refused.

For Rivers, it will not be a first since he commented on the NBA Finals in 2004, and he is close to Breen.
