When we thought the Cavaliers had abandoned the track Donovan MitchellESPN and Yahoo! Sports announce that the All-Star rear arrives at the Cavaliers in exchange for Lauri Markkanen, Collin Sexton, rookie Ochai Agbaji, three first draft rounds and two “swaps” (exchanges of choice). This is what the Jazz demanded from the Knicks, and it was finally Cleveland who responded to this request.
This is a surprise since we thought that Donovan Mitchell wanted to join the Knicks, the Nets or the Heat. But on a sporting level, it’s a great destination since Cleveland is on the rise, and there will clearly be added value at the back to support Darius Garland. The Cavaliers boast an All-Star backcourt, and they still have Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley under the panels, one of the most promising pairings in the NBA.
Behind ? Cedi Osman, Caris LeVert, Kevin Love, Isaac Okoro, Ricky Rubio… Enough to play the Top 5 in the East!
Utah parted ways with Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell
Extended as part of a “sign-and-trade” for 72 million dollars over four years, Collin Sexton will be able to revive the Jazz and he is used to being in a team in full reconstruction. We imagine, on the other hand, that Lauri Markkanen, currently at the Euro, must moderately appreciate leaving the Cavaliers project.
On the Utah side, and after the various exchanges of the summer, we will always find Mike Conley, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, and now Malik Beasley, Collin Sexton, Talen Horton-Tucker, Jared Vanderbilt and Lauri Markkanen.
Danny Ainge thus took for Sam Presti (Thunder) with a dozen first rounds of Draft recovered!
