Nikola Jokic is no longer the only triple-double king this season. Last night, Domantas Sabonis signed his 12th triple-double of the season, but it wasn't enough to end the Kings' losing streak. Facing the Pacers, although deprived of its two All-Stars, Sacramento suffered a fourth loss in a row.
But the Lithuanian from the Kings feels so good there that he only wants one thing: to end his career there.
“The fans give us a lot, the city has given me a lot. I said they welcomed me with open arms”, recalls the son of Arvydas. “I walk around the city – or wherever – and everyone is so nice, so nice to us. My wife walks without me, [et] they (the fans) know who she is. They help him. It's just so good. They give us so much that I just want to give back to them in any way possible. Especially in a place where I hope to stay for the rest of my career. I think it's the right thing to do. »
An idyllic environment
Well on his way to winning a new All-Star selection, Domantas Sabonis is won over by the team's ambitions, the reception from the public and of course the environment. Without forgetting the proximity of his in-laws.
“I don’t want to give away all the secrets but it’s amazing. We really found our place, there is so much to do. There's Napa, San Fran [San Francisco]. There is Lake Tahoe. The weather is beautiful here. There is so much to do” recalls Domantas Sabonis. “My wife's family is from Los Angeles, so it's a five-hour drive and less than an hour's flight. It's great for us. Everything went very well and my wife is happy. It is the most important. »
