Mavericks fans will receive a nice Christmas present this year with a statue at the foot of the tree! The delivery date of the statue of Dirk Nowitzki, promised by Mark Cuban, is now known.
The inauguration ceremony of the statue, representing the German performing his legendary stepback on one foot, is scheduled for December 25 at 11:00 a.m., a few hours before the “Christmas Game” which will oppose the Mavericks to the Warriors.
The event will take place in the South Plaza of the American Airlines Center and will also be broadcast on the Jumbotron inside the Mavericks compound and live on mavs.com.
“Dirk has done so much for the game and for our city. To show our appreciation, we want to make sure his legacy and his jumpshot will be forever remembered in Dallas.”, said Mark Cuban.
