Devin Booker has no shortage of inspiration to create its first signature shoe in all colors. After the “sober and efficient” Book 1 “Forrest Gump”, it’s a return to basics this time with this “Sedona” color in homage to the tourist town in the state of Arizona, where the rear has been playing since 2015 In this case, Sedona is known for its red-ocher rock mountains, offering a typical landscape among the many natural sites that can be found in Arizona.
The pair is therefore distinguished by its ocher-colored upper with pearly white finishes, to highlight the “Swoosh” on the upper in particular or on the sole. The Sedona landscape appears as a print on the tongue with “Sedona Red Rocks” written on the inside. On the tongue, the “Chapter One” has been replaced by “Sedona” and “No Service”.
The Nike Book 1 “Sedona” is already available on Basket4Ballers at a price of 150 euros (shipments will however begin on January 23).
Our Book 1 Verdict
Nike and Devin Booker succeeded in making this “Book 1” a dual-use shoe, responding to both the codes and the classic design of a “lifestyle” shoe, while guaranteeing impeccable technical characteristics on the basketball plan.
Inspired by the Nike Air Force 1, the pair has been reworked with a Cushlon 2.0 midsole which provides the dynamism necessary for profiles like Devin Booker. We would have appreciated a little more comfort on the forefoot but the essential thing is there. The grip and support also reach the market standard. Book 1 also has a homage side in its DNA that will attract the general public.
