The Pistons have added the final touches to their roster with three promotions of three players from the Motor City Cruise (G-League): Buddy Boeheim, Tosan Evbuomwan And Stanley Umude.
The shooter trained in Syracuse under the orders of his father Jim will sign a new “two-way contract” with the Pistons for a period of two years. The Michigan franchise had already signed him via this status last season, which allowed him to play ten NBA games in the 2022/23 financial year.
This summer, he failed to convert his “Exhibit 10” contract, inviting him to take part in training camp with the first team. But the guard held on, delivering better performances in the G-League with the Motor City Cruise (14.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists) and was rewarded with this new “two-way contract”, a status that will also endorse the winger Tosan Evbuomwanseen in Memphis and who played a game with the Pistons this season (15 points average in G-League).
Another leader of the Motor City Cruise, Stanley Umude will for its part give up its “two-way contract” status to sign a standard NBA contract with the Pistons, also covering two years. The guard has already played 17 games with the first team (5.2 points) and averaged 17 points in the G-League.
