Desmond Bane out longer than expected

Injured since mid-November, Desmond Bane had to get away with two to three weeks of absence. The delay will eventually be longer. Requested with each support, each impulse, his big toe must be definitively restored before he can find the grounds without risk of relapse, nor pain.

Memphis has therefore pushed back its return deadline by three to four additional weeks so that his rehabilitation process is complete. Which means that in the best case, we will see him again between Christmas and New Year’s Day, and at worst in 2023…

Since his injury, the Grizzlies, winners tonight against the Thunder, have recorded eight wins for five defeats. Like last season, the Memphis collective is remarkable for compensating for the absence of major players (Jaren Jackson Jr, Ja Morant or now Desmond Bane).
