Derrick Rose doesn't want a statue… but Chicago will retire his jersey

This Saturday, the Bulls will take advantage of the arrival of the Knicks to celebrate Derrick Rose, retired since the end of September.

“I would love to have my jersey retired. This would be my way to get closer to the Top 75, and I only say that because it's MVP-related.”, Derrick Rose tells ESPN. “There’s only a handful, a small group that got this trophy. And to think that this way of playing, the Chicago way of playing, is not in the top 75 players in history, it makes you think a little bit or question things.”

And good news, the club has just confirmed that its number #1 will be retired next season!

On this T-Shirt, the numbers 1.4.25. It's today's date, but also the numbers worn by Rose in high school, the Bulls and the Knicks. At the same time, the Bulls, in partnership with adidas, will unveil a room called the Derrick Rose Atrium Experience. This is an ephemeral exhibition of photos and objects related to Rose's career.
