Derek Fisher, the impossible shot that defeated the Spurs

In the hierarchy of legendary shots, that of Derek Fisher, registered in 2004 against Spurs, occupies a special place. This action concentrates all the good ingredients of drama that the NBA can offer: a sudden and improbable gesture on the part of a “role player”, at the end of a pivotal match in the playoffs, and at the heart of a confrontation epic and symbolic of the 2000s.

The result was a completely improbable shot which crucified Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, who seemed to have overcome Lakers of Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal.

A capital shot, too, since in Game 5 of a playoff series, but also historic since it will force the NBA to modify its regulations. A shot that we tell you about today in Histoire(s) de basketball.
