Dennis Schroder embarks on football career

Before playing the Paris Olympic Games with Germany and finding a new contract in the NBA, Dennis Schroder decided to follow his passion by making his debut as a footballer! It was this week, in Germany, in the 6th national division. It is the equivalent of Regionale 1 in France.

Arriving in a Rolls at the stadium, the MVP of the last World Cup appeared in the jersey of FC Germania Bleckenstedt, who faced SC Göttingen 05. Sixth in the championship, Dennis Schroder's teammates did not weigh heavily against the runners-up, since They lost 5-1.

Left winger, the Nets player played 63 minutes before being replaced, and if he wore the colors of this club, it is because midfielder Daniel Ziolo is none other than his brother-in-law. Every summer, Dennis Schroder is invited to watch the matches of his wife's brother's team, but the German leader wanted to move from the stands to the pitch: “I always wanted to play with my brother-in-law” did he declarebefore explaining that the coach had simply asked him to “create problems on the left side”.

Having switched from football to basketball at the age of 11, Dennis Schroder will have the opportunity, on Sunday, to make a second outing as Bleckenstedt faces VfL Wahrenholz.
