The last match of DeMarcus Cousins in the NBA dates back more than two years. Since the end of his stint with the Nuggets, the 34-year-old center has had to move away from the NBA, playing in Puerto Rico and then Taiwan.
Recently, he even tried his hand at 3×3 in China, in exchange for a big check, but without a victory.
The four-time All-Star would love to return to the Major Leagues, but on Jeff Teague's podcast, he explains that he no longer intends to chase franchises.
“I'm not going to try to convince these people anymore.”he explains about the club leaders. “You know what I bring to the field. It’s been proven. If you really wanted to know who I am, you’d take the time to get to know me instead of listening to what someone else says. Trying to contact them is over for me. If an opportunity presents itself, I’ll consider it, but I’m done with contacts like that.”
It is therefore understandable that DeMarcus Cousins has long lobbied to get a seat in the NBA. Visibly insufficient, his bad reputation and his defensive limitations cooling the franchises too much.
