Dejounte goes crazy, and the NBA opens an investigation

Author of 23 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in Game 4 of the series against the Celtics, Dejounte Murray will have to explain himself to the Disciplinary Committee of the NBA. ESPN reports the league launched an investigation into the Atlanta guard’s behavior at the end of the game.

In the footage, Murray is seen attacking referee Gediminas Petraitis. He shoves him and sticks his nose in his face, before attacking someone else, probably a second referee. His teammates quickly escorted him before things got out of hand. In Atlanta, we are aware of the incident, and the player did not appear at a press conference.

In view of the images, Murray risks a fine or even a one-game suspension. This is what Grant Williams had suffered this season after a similar incident. What would be a disaster for the Hawks, led 3-1 in the series before Game 5 which takes place in Boston.

How to read the stats? MJ = matches played; Min = Minutes; Shots = Shots made / Shots attempted; 3pts = 3-points / 3-points attempted; LF = free throws made / free throws attempted; Off = offensive rebound; Def= defensive rebound; Tot = Total bounces; Pd = assists; Fte: Personal fouls; Int = Intercepts; Bp = Lost bullets; Ct: Counters; Points = Points.
