Deandre Ayton feels like he’s being drafted again

Number 1 of the 2018 Draft, Deandre Ayton ultimately only played five seasons, with an NBA final as the highlight. After a lackluster season, the Bahamian called for a change of scenery, and here he is in Portland where he is a “franchise player” and leader to support the young talents that are Anfernee Simons, Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe.

On Saturday, the former Suns pivot visited the facilities, and he had the impression of going back five years. “It’s so beautiful! I feel like I was just drafted” he confides in a video shared by the Blazers. “I am so happy and very honored to be here. I can’t wait for us to get started together guys! »

At his side, Toumani Camara. He is a real rookie. The Belgian will undoubtedly benefit from more playing time in Portland, in a rebuilding squad where everyone will have a chance this season.
