If Evan Fournier has decided to bounce back in Europe, and at Olympiakos more precisely, other players without a contract still hope to land a contract in the NBA. This is the case of Davis Bertans, and his agent announces thathe will meet the Warriors for a test.
Aged 31, like Fournier, the Latvian is coming off a difficult season since he did not fit into Mark Daigneault's plans at the Thunder, and like Vasilije Micic, he had been transferred to the Hornets. There, he had found playing time, and averaged nearly 9 points. His best period since 2021 and his very good stint at the Wizards. Not enough for Charlotte to guarantee him his last year of contract.
Another shooter for the Warriors?
Golden State is hungry for that kind of versatile shooter and wing, and Bertans could grab one of the final three roster spots. So far, the Warriors have signed Lindy Waters (Thunder), De'Anthony Melton (Sixers), Kyle Anderson (Wolves) and Buddy Hield (Sixers), and Bertans could bring even more outside shooting while filling the void left by Dario Saric's departure to the Nuggets, even if the Croatian is more creative and less of a shooter.
