Dante Exum worried five days before the Olympic Games

There are rarely good times to get injured, but it's probably hard to do worse than Dante Exum. A few days before the start of the Olympic Games, The Australian leader has indeed dislocated his finger during his country's last preparation match, against France.

When it was time to attack the Blues' basket, Dante Exum was denied access to the circle by Mattias Lessort and Guerschon Yabusele. The Mavericks player immediately took a look at his hand before running to his bench and heading to the locker room while possession was still in progress, in the middle of the second quarter.

The “combo guard” will not return to the courts and will have only played 7 minutes, for 2 points, 2 assists and 1 rebound in the victory against the Blues.

An injury that is deemed “worrying” by Australian coach Brian Goorijan. Dante Exum's unavailability is still unknown at this time, as the Australians will open the Olympic tournament this Saturday at 11am against Spain. They will also face Canada and Greece in Group A.

If Dante Exum is unavailable for the Paris Olympics, Brian Goorijan could potentially recall Matisse Thybulle, the big reject on the Boomers' list.
