D’Angelo Russell reconciled with his public | NBA

It was quite a surprising release. Last week, on February 7, during the press conference which followed the victory of the Wolves at home against the Pistons, D’Angelo Russell got carried away about the public of the Target Center. Asked about the impact of Patrick Beverley, “D-Lo” declared that the veteran point guard had played such a good game that even the spectators at Target Center, who were too discreet for his taste, got carried away.

More than anything, it is his energy that impresses. It rubs off on others, it forces them to raise their level, to awaken the competitor in them. And it even made it possible to wake up our dumb spectators like tombs. So I think it’s beneficial to have a figure like him in the locker room. He wakes everyone up.

Nearly ten days later, the message seems to have been received. On the occasion of the victory of the Wolves on their floor against the Hornets, D’Angelo Russell, who delivered a complete game (18 points, 4 rebounds and 11 assists) despite his clumsiness (5/20), appreciated that the spectators finally made themselves heard throughout the evening.

I had a message to convey, they heard it. They were fabulous tonightenjoyed the Wolves full-back. To the point of dedicating the ball of the match to them!

It was an electric atmosphere. You guys are awesome, I appreciate you for that. I brought you the ball of the match, it’s for you. For everyone in the room, everyone watching from your living room, even those supporting us on Twitter. We need you, this atmosphere at every game.

The decibels were particularly high late in the game, in money-time and overtime, when Karl-Anthony Towns took charge to fend off catching Hornets. Author of 12 points in the fourth quarter, then 7 additional units during overtime, the All-Star pivot made the opposing team bend, and the Target Center exploded in front of the performance of its leader.

KAT carried us on his shoulders. He was truly an All-Star on the court tonight. We win when he plays like that, it’s simplesummed up D’Angelo Russell. ” When you win, it changes everything. It really changes everything concluded for his part “KAT”, who finished the game with 39 points (12/26) and 15 rebounds.
