Damian Lillard and the Bucks ruthlessly with the Spurs

Left to rest to preserve his ankle, Victor Wembanyama observed from the bench the Spurs suffer a new defeat, on the floor of Bucks (132-119). A stamped success Damian Lillardauthor of his season record in scoring (40) and above all became a member of the 20,000 career points club.

More discreet, but no less precious, Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with a triple-double (11 points, 14 rebounds, 16 assists), while Bobby Portis adds a double-double (23 points, 10 rebounds), in what constitutes the seventh consecutive victory for Milwaukee, excluding In-season tournament. Despite Keldon Johnson (28 points, 12 rebounds) or Zach Collins (22 points, 8 rebounds), the step was too high for San Antonio. Even more so without “Wemby”.

The Bucks did not take long to get their hands on this match, starting it with a run from… 21-3! Which forced the Spurs to chase the score throughout the game, without ever managing to get back below the 8 point gap against the Wisconsin steamroller, led by its two-headed monster Giannis/Lillard.

TO REMEMBER

Damian Lillard joins the 20,000 point club. Author of 40 points, his season record, “Dame” confirmed his very good run at the moment and he especially took advantage of this evening to reach the 20,000 career points mark. At 33 years old, for his eleventh season in the league and for his 794th NBA game. The All-Star point guard is only the 51st player to join this closed circle, and the 8th activity. One more statistical accomplishment to add to the CV of the former boss of the Blazers, more and more comfortable under the colors of the Bucks and in the systems of Adrian Griffin.

Milwaukee uncompromising at home. Before hosting the Magic on Thursday, then leaving for road trip for Christmas, the Bucks are full of confidence at home. If we put aside this lost meeting in Las Vegas against the Pacers, as part of the In-season tournament, that makes seven consecutive victories for the Wisconsin franchise, all won at Fiserv Forum. Well clinging to 2nd place in the Eastern Conference, less than a game from first place of the Celtics, Adrian Griffin's men are clearly the team in form of the moment behind the Clippers, while this collective will continue to improve over time…
