Misfortunes accumulate for Milwaukee. While Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) has yet to play in the playoffs and Khris Middleton (ankle) is not 100% either, Damian Lillard aggravated his right Achilles tendon injury, during this Game 3 (lost) in Indianapolis which he insisted on playing despite the pain.
Consequently, because of his elongation which requires him to wear a protective boot on his foot, the leader is announced “package” for Game 4, still planned in theIndiana this Sunday evening (1:00 a.m.). Anything but ideal, since the Bucks are led 2-1 by the Pacers and therefore no longer have home field advantage.
The super duo in the infirmary
Without Damian Lillard (32.3 points, 5.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 interceptions in the playoffs), bothered by his Achilles tendon at the end of the regular season, Milwaukee's chances of qualifying take a huge hit, especially since Giannis is still not ready to resume…
The end of the season, with its share of defeats, had foreshadowed the worst, and the injuries to the “one-two punch” mounted this summer further drive home the point.
