Dallas not interested in a ‘sign-and-trade’ for D’Angelo Russell

During his recent live on Instagram, Kyrie Irving explained that he did not want to evoke the elephant in the room, namely the place where he will play next season: will he extend to Dallas or change teams?

“I’m a free agent this summer, but I’m in no hurry to make a decision”he explained. ” When [ces personnalités médiatiques] talk about my name and they talk about potential teams for me, can you all please – and I respectfully ask – stop paying attention. »

At the Mavericks, we must necessarily pay attention to it because we cannot afford to be caught off guard.

The club’s objective is also clear: to keep Kyrie Irving alongside Luka Doncic, despite the failure of the end of the campaign. It remains to be seen what contract the Mavericks will offer the former Cavs, Celtics and Nets player.

It also remains to be seen the options for Kyrie Irving because if rumors evoke a possible meeting with Kevin Durant at the Suns, or with LeBron James at the Lakers, both options require setting up a “sign-and-trade”. And the Texas franchise would not be really excited about this idea.

According to information from Marc Steinthe Mavericks are also not at all interested in D’Angelo Russell, who would undoubtedly be the main bargaining chip in the event of a “sign-and-trade” from Kyrie Irving to the Lakers.
