Cut by the Kings, Filip Petrusev will return to Europe

Three short matches and then it’s gone… According to ESPN, Filip Petrusev has already finished his NBA career as he was cut by the Kings. As a reminder, he started the season in Philadelphia before being sent to the Clippers, as part of the transfer of James Harden.

In the process, Los Angeles did not keep him, preferring to send him to Sacramento with a few dollars extra. The Kings then lined him up only twice, for less than seven minutes, before releasing him.

The future for the Serbian no longer seems to be written in the NBA but in Europe. Indeed, Eurohoops announces that he should join Olympiakos, where his short-lived Kings teammate Sasha Vezenkov played last season. The Greek club had also been monitoring the pivot for several weeks.

Drafted in 2021 by Philadelphia, Filip Petrusev took two years before joining the Sixers and the NBA. A wait ultimately not rewarded at all since his adventure in the Great League only lasted three matches (with two teams) and only ten minutes. Time to register three small points.
