Cross-hunted in the Heat infirmary: Jimmy Butler injured in the calf

The Heat's season has so far been punctuated by ups and downs, sometimes at very short intervals. Euphoric after taking their revenge on Chicago thanks to a shot to win Jimmy Butler Saturday evening, Floridians were happy to return Tyler Herro And Bam Adebayo, back from injuries, for the following match against Minnesota. Both performed well for the occasion, except that Miami lost again, and a little more than one match, since Jimmy Butler was hit in the calf during the match.

As a result, the Heat leader was placed on the injured list for tonight's match against Orlando, once again plunging Erik Spoelstra's group into uncertainty.

“It’s frustrating, because we just want to be united. But I think he heated the tires a little. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he was already injured, and that he was playing through the injury.”, said Bam Adebayo. “Now it’s even more important for Tyler Herro and I to be in the mix. I feel like this will be an opportunity to do it.”

The wounded cross paths

This is in fact the only good news from the start of the week for Miami, the successful return of two of Jimmy Butler's main lieutenants, between Tyler Herro's 33 minutes punctuated by 25 points, and Bam Adebayo's 36 for 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

Unfortunately for them, they will not have the luxury of making a smooth return, given that they should be in high demand again this evening during the Florida derby. Since it must be remembered that Erik Spoelstra must also do without Kyle Lowry, and that Kevin Love is uncertain due to stomach ailments.

“It’s a good thing to be on the pitch, to see the ball go into the circle a little bit. I just went on the field, it's good to be back in competition. People think we take everything for granted. For me, it's a pleasure. I relish these moments when I can go on the field and do what I want. From that point of view, it was a privilege to be there”added Bam Adebayo. “We don't have time to savor it for a few days, because we have to focus on the present moment. The most important thing for us is that I get into my rhythm. Other than that, we will really have to try to have an impact on winning.”
