Corey Kispert wins new contract in Washington

Corey Kispert has found its new home in the NBA, as ESPN tells us that he has landed a four-year, $54 million extension, one year from the end of his rookie contract.

This means that the 25-year-old winger will stay in the capital until 2029 and, given his continued progress over the past three years (for 10.9 points and 39% on 3-pointers in his career), it is not surprising to see it be preserved sustainably by the leaders of Washington. Especially since his shooting profile is sought after and valued in the current NBA.

Coming out of Gonzaga in 2021 (15th choice in the Draft that year), Corey Kispert will therefore accompany Bilal Coulibaly, Alexandre Sarr and the other young Wizards for several seasons, probably in a sniper role off the bench which seems cut out for him.
