Complicated period for Tobias Harris

It's as obvious as an observation: with 8 defeats in 12 games, the Sixers have been suffering since Joel Embiid was absent. And Tobias Harris also, more and more since for five matches, he has only averaged 10.8 points with 31% shooting success and 23% from 3-point range!

Latest example: his outing in Boston where he finished with 13 points at 5/19 shooting. Near the circle, at mid-distance or at 3-point, the former Orlando player had open shots. But his current awkwardness does not leave him.

“I just have to hang on”, he concedes facing this complicated period. “It was a bad night shooting and it's a bad streak for me. Afterwards, you always have to take these shots, be confident, work again and again. »

Frustrated but not defeated

Tobias Harris reassures himself by telling himself that bad times can happen during a season but that, thanks to work, they do not last.

“As soon as we miss shots, it’s frustrating,” he continues. “I’m not making any excuses. I have always been an effective player during my career and I will find solutions to this. I'm not worried, frustrated yes, but I'll get through this. »

His team logically needs him, in the absence of Joel Embiid. The Sixers were largely dominated by the Knicks, Bucks and Celtics during this sluggish power forward. And the victory against the Cavaliers was won with his least bad match since the restart (15 points at 43% shooting success).

Right now, without Tobias Harris at or near his best, Nick Nurse's troops can't really compete with the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

“It’s frustrating, but I’m going to fight. I'm going to find a way to be better, to get back into rhythm, by watching the videos. I'll always take the same shots and I just have to put them in. We can summarize things like this: he concludes to motivate himself.
