In the West, there was no real suspense for the trophy Coach of the monthso much Steve Kerr and the Warriors established themselves as the best team in the conference in February, with 11 wins and 3 losses. Enough to move up from 12th to 9th place in the ranking, at the gates of the Top 8.
It is also a small event that the choice of Steve Kerr as best coach of the month, since he had not been rewarded since… January 2019! Five years later, he is back in the spotlight with Golden State.
In the East, we wondered if the NBA would choose to honor Joe Mazzulla as in December or Jamahl Mosley as in November, but it is ultimately Eric Spoelstra which was retained. It must be said that the Heat won eight of its eleven games in February, to move from 8th to 5th place in the conference, not far from the Top 4 and therefore home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
