Clippers sign Kai Jones for playoffs

Fired by the Hornets at the start of the season, Kai Jones will participate in the playoffs! It will not be with the Sixers where he had done some freelancing, but the Clippers since they have just signed him a contract for several seasons. As is often the case in these cases, only the end of the current season is guaranteed, and the 19th choice of the 2021 Draft will therefore have to prove himself at the next training camp.

To make room for him, The Athletic announces that the Clippers have decided to part ways with Josh Primo, the former Spurs point guard. Primo suffered a serious ankle injury in the G-League, and he won't be able to play again until this summer. The Clippers preferred to cut him, and add an explosive interior to support Ivica Zubac.

No doubt Tyronn Lue will take advantage of the last match, without a challenge against the Rockets, to see him at work. Fourth in the Western Conference and winner of the Pacific division, the Clippers already know their opponents for the first round, and it will be the Mavericks. A very athletic lineup under the panels with Daniel Gafford, Derek Lively II and Dwight Powell.
