Chris Paul to the Lakers, the phantom transfer

Chris Paul was a Lakers player. But not really.

For a few hours, the Hornets playmaker thought he had been sent to Los Angeles to play with Kobe Bryant. Except it was December 2011, a time when the Hornets were owned by the NBA itself. And just when manager Dell Demps thought he had the authority to do his job, he was vetoed by league boss David Stern.

Dismay in Los Angeles, disappointment for Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant. Before a final rebound, still towards the City of Angels.

An episode written by Jonathan Demay.
