Chris Paul relies on his experiences to integrate well into Golden State

Since he joined the Warriors last June, the question of the integration of Chris Paul within the “Dubs” is on everyone’s lips. This time, after the decided (positive) opinion of Draymond Green, it is the turn of “CP3” himself to raise the question from NBC Sports.

For the 38-year-old leader, there is little doubt either: everything will turn out for the best Golden Statetaking into account his experience, both individual and collective.

I’m serious. It seems so simple, but I have 19 seasons of experience. The game hasn’t changed, unless you shoot with something different [d’un ballon] From now on. I spent two years at university and I have the feeling that what works in my favor is that this is not the first time that I have changed teams and therefore it is not the first time I heard outside rumors. As soon as I change teams, everyone says it’s not going to work », declares the one who accumulated 6 points on 2/6 shooting, 4 assists but 5 lost balls in 20 minutes, for his first preseason match against the Lakers.

Everyone is moving in the same direction

First expected in the five, due to injury to Draymond Green, Chris Paul does not yet know if he will then have to sit on the bench for the first time in his career, and thus take on a new role of 6th man.

What is clear, however, is that the former Suns player had no trouble being accepted by the Californian locker room, ready to move in the same direction, namely towards the title.

Probably the fluidity with which things were done », he answers, when asked what surprised him the most in his transition to his new team. “ I remember the first day I went to the gym in Los Angeles and everyone was going to go together. I brought my son and a few of his friends, so you never know what it’s going to be like. Surprisingly, and I don’t know if it’s surprising, we have some new guys, so everyone is just excited about what we’re trying to build. »
