NBA – After a very successful season in Minnesota, Chris Finch extends there for four more years.
Logically, the Wolves preserve Chris Finch. As reported by ESPNhe is in fact re-signed for four years, until the summer of 2028. A great reward, after his excellent season on the bench, one of the two best in the history of the franchise.
Holders of 3rd place in the Western Conference, accumulating 56 victories (against 26 defeats) in the regular season, the players of Minnesota managed to continue in the playoffs, reaching the conference final against the Mavericks (1-4) after dismissing the Suns (4-0) then the Nuggets (4-3), reigning champions.
Present at the head of the Wolves since 2021, Chris Finch has since led them to three consecutive playoff qualifications. Unheard of for the gang of Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert since the early 2000s.
It now remains to be seen whether the 54-year-old technician will keep his assistant Micah Nori with him, who distinguished himself in the playoffs after his head coach ruptured the patellar tendon in his right knee. But since there are only the Pistons without a coach, and James Borrego is the favorite for the position, nothing should change at Minneapolis.
